As Policy Counsel, Trace analyzes legislative and regulatory issues at both the federal and state level. His portfolio includes antitrust enforcement, privacy, worker classification law, micromobility, as well as a variety of other tech-related issues.
Before joining NetChoice, Trace worked as a Research Associate with the Mercatus Center and a Program Associate with the Liberty and Law Center at George Mason University. His work centered around barriers to entry and other regulatory and legal burdens that inhibit entrepreneurialism. His articles have appeared in the Hill, RealClearPolicy, American Banker, National Review, Chicago Tribune, and various other publications nationwide.
While in law school, Trace was a member of the George Mason Law Review. He was also the winner of the 2019 Great Communicators Tournament hosted by Think Freely Media. Trace lives in Arlington, Virginia with his wife Krista. When he is not working on issues surrounding public policy, he enjoys spending time with his friends and playing his various instruments.
