Attorneys general in eight states are demanding that social networking site MySpace hand over to authorities the names and addresses of thousands of convicted sex offenders the AGs say are using social networking sites to prey on children. According to news reports, the AGs claim a source they refuse to identify alerted them to an internal investigation by MySpace that the source says turned up thousands of known sex offenders on the site.
