10 News – Bill would let trustee control digital assets
Steve Delbianco is the executive director of NetChoice and they represent eCommerce businesses like Facebook, Google, AOL and others. Delbianco said these companies believe the bill doesn’t add to privacy, but takes away from it.
“If you die without giving anyone consent, these companies cannot turn that over to the estate manager or they violate federal law,” he said.
“This is all about respecting your choice and my choice, not turning it over to the state bar deciding it for me.”
