A powerful voice for online gambling repeal

According to the Boston Globe Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA) plans to start pushing for repeal of the ban on online gambling. Frank, who chairs the House Financial Services Committee, called the online gambling bill passed last fall "one of the stupidest things I ever saw."

Meanwhile, the FTC is asking Congress for new legislation that would toughen the penalties against spyware in order to help their anti-fraud activities. The agency wants to seek civil penalty actions, including jail time, for those who distribute spyware to unsuspecting website users.
