Cybersecurity facing new attacks, scams and phishing expeditions

According to a security researcher, embedded devices such as routers and mobile phones are open to new attacks due to vulnerabilities in the ARM and XScale architectures which are easy targets for attackers.

Phishers
and scammers are becoming more creative about tricking consumers to divulge personal security information including using copy from legitimate online retail sites in emails.

Despite Microsoft’s move to fix the ANI glitch, spammers and malware brokers are already tapping into the flaw to infect unprotected machines with malware, adware, and botnet programs.
