“Facebook should block everyone in Florida”: Social media law that experts and users blame as well

Carl Szabo, vice president of NetChoice, an industry group that includes some of the companies affected by the law, said: New York Times The legislation was “a serious misreading of the First Amendment of the Constitution.”

He added that the First Amendment was designed to protect sites like Reddit from politicians, not “Reddit politicians.”

Mr. Szabo said Washington Post: “If this law is enforced in any way, it will allow legal but terrible user postings such as pornography, violence, and malicious expressions, making it difficult for families to safely navigate online.”
