On X, NetChoice Vice President of Public Affairs Robert Winterton explains why the Federal Trade Commission’s lawsuit against Meta uses a completely distorted and manufactured market definition. It excludes Meta’s many competitors in the social media space.
“The definition excludes many different companies like TikTok, Rumble, Nextdoor, Pinterest, YouTube, X, Reddit and more, all of whom compete with Meta for advertisers and users…Such obvious evidence of competition invalidates the claims that Meta is a monopoly. So, the FTC has instead come up with a confusing market definition completely unmoored from the current digital landscape.”
