Today, former Senator Rick Santorum published an editorial article on National Review Online. We’d like to encourage everyone to read the article as well as point out our favorite highlights:
- “It’s obvious that Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google are phenomenal at pleasing consumers; they give us a wider selection of goods, free shipping, innovative devices, and free access to amazingly powerful search, video, and social media technologies.”
- “We must stand by our founding constitutional principles… That means standing for enforcement of laws that are based on objective standards, rather than arbitrary political considerations. Democrats have long aspired to reshape American antitrust law to serve progressive ends and destroy Reagan’s economic legacy. Republicans should not help them.”
- “These platforms are still the most effective tool we’ve ever had to directly connect with swing voters and independents across the country.”
- “Republicans should see Democrats’ attempts to tear up the tech industry for what they are: a politics of envy, superpowered by a political desire to punish new forms of media that host conservative news and views.”
