NEW POLL: 79% of Voters Think US Tech Companies Are Key to American Global Leadership

WASHINGTON—Today, NetChoice released new polling of likely American voters, conducted by Echelon Insights, showing 79% agree that America’s major tech companies are driving cutting edge innovation and are key to U.S. global leadership in the world, and only 1% of Republican voters think pursuing antitrust lawsuits against tech companies should be a priority.

“Americans value the innovation and economic strength that our nation’s leading technology companies provide. Our polling shows that voters overwhelmingly want policymakers to focus on challenges like inflation and global competition—not antitrust lawsuits that threaten innovation and our economic health,” said Robert Winterton, NetChoice Vice President of Public Affairs. “President Trump’s administration should turn away from Biden’s anti-business and anti-growth agenda. His officials should instead embrace his Golden Age agenda, prioritize policies that strengthen our economy and ensure the U.S. remains the global leader in technology and R&D.”

President Trump has been consistent with his efforts to ensure American tech remains the world’s leader. Yesterday, he stood up against EU efforts to “tax, fine, and hinder American Tech Companies.” On his very first day in office, he issued executive orders to reignite American AI development and stop government bureaucrats from censoring free speech online. To support this common sense agenda, his administration should turn the page on antitrust attacks against American success and innovation.
