While intended to improve child safety and mental health outcomes, the Kids Off Social Media Act (KOSMA) represents an unprecedented cybersecurity and privacy risk, to say nothing of the blatant First Amendment concerns. The members of this committee should better appreciate that Americans are protected by the Constitution and its Bill of Rights. Age verification mandates and bans on free expression are anathema to the American experiment and are facially unconstitutional.
