HB 570 requires app stores to verify users’ ages, obtain parental consent for minors’ downloads and purchases and creates civil liability for app stores and developers who violate these requirements.
If enacted, this bill would almost certainly violate Louisianans’ First Amendment rights, weaken their privacy, and fail to keep kids safe.
