WASHINGTON—Today, NetChoice raised concerns with the American Innovation and Choice Online Act, reintroduced by Sen. Klobuchar. The bill, originally introduced in the last Congress, seeks to hand sweeping powers to the Federal Trade Commission so it can have broad control over American businesses.
“Last Congress, Sen. Klobuchar failed to convince enough of her colleagues to support her broad and misguided antitrust crusade. This time, the Senator continues to beat the proverbial dead horse by pushing the same bill with the same problems as before. The welcome difference this time is that even fewer Senators are willing to support it,” said Carl Szabo, NetChoice Vice President and General Counsel.
