Brazil has created discriminatory barriers against American tech companies through censorship requirements that force platforms to choose between free speech principles and market access, proposed regulations similar to the EU’s Digital Markets Act that disproportionately target U.S. firms, discriminatory taxation schemes, and protectionist AI regulations with licensing fees—all of which violate trade principles and harm American digital innovation.
