NetChoice Feedback to the Office of Space Commerce on the Space DMA, the European Union Space Act (EUSA)

NetChoice submitted comments to the Office of Space Commerce Request for Feedback on the European Union Space Act (EUSA).

We are concerned that the EUSA is yet another broad piece of “protectionist, anti-American technology legislation” that targets U.S.-based firms to siphon off resources and construct a European space industry via government planning. This strategy has failed with the rest of Europe’s tech sector and will likely produce the same results here, too.

The EUSA will not make Europe competitive but may instead benefit China’s space ambitions by undermining American access to the European market.
