NetChoice is hiring a detail-oriented, passionate Government Affairs Associate to support our state and potentially federal policy initiatives, focusing on critical technology policy areas including privacy, artificial intelligence, content moderation, and antitrust regulation. This role has an estimated annual salary range of $85,000 to $110,000 and comes with employer-sponsored healthcare benefits.
This position is based in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive policy research on emerging technology legislative developments across
multiple states - Draft policy briefs, analysis documents, and advocacy materials
- Support state-level advocacy efforts by tracking legislation, preparing testimony and briefing materials, and coordinating with state policymakers
- Assist in developing strategic policy recommendations for technology policy challenges
- Collaborate with senior policy team members on federal policy initiatives
- Support coalition-building and stakeholder engagement efforts
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, law, technology policy, or related field
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Demonstrated interest in technology policy landscape
- Excellent research capabilities
- Ability to synthesize complex policy information
- Proficiency in data analysis and policy tracking tools
- Experience in a professional working environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or work experience in state government, technology policy, or advocacy
- Understanding of technology policy issues
- Knowledge of state legislative processes
