The misguidedly named “Kids Online Safety Act” (KOSA) is being pushed by some members of Congress. Far from making the internet safer, its provisions would actually in effect require Digital ID across America, gathering data into a honeypot that is ripe for predators, thieves, and cybercriminals to exploit.
Instead of making the internet less safe through this soft on crime bill, NetChoice encourages lawmakers to support and fund law enforcement efforts to stop digital criminals, like the PROTECT Act of 2008.
