NetChoice Announces Public Affairs Promotions of Miriam Palicz and Krista Chavez

WASHINGTON—Today, NetChoice Vice President of Public Affairs Robert Winterton is pleased to announce the promotions of Miriam Palicz to Director of External Affairs and Krista Chavez to Director of Communications.

Miriam Palicz joined NetChoice in 2021 and has been instrumental in growing NetChoice’s presence in civil society and public policy discussions in Washington, D.C. and around the country. She has spent her career honing her uniquely strong skillset in bringing like-minded individuals together, such as activists and thought-leaders, in support of free enterprise and free expression.

Krista Chavez joined NetChoice in 2022 and has played a crucial role in building out our external communications and digital presence. Krista has a strong background in advocating for free market principles and has helped to strengthen and promote NetChoice’s mission of making the internet safe for free enterprise and free expression.

“Miriam and Krista have played a pivotal role in NetChoice’s successes over recent years,” said Winterton. “They have expanded both the reach and relevance of our mission and the needs of America’s tech industry to lawmakers, grassroots organizations and the general public alike. We are proud to recognize their leadership and contributions with these well-deserved promotions.”

Prior to joining NetChoice, Miriam was the State Coalitions Manager at Americans for Tax Reform, where she built and oversaw a nationwide coalition promoting economic growth at the federal and state level as well as a pro-business agenda. Krista spent over four years at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, the premier university-based research center focused on free market ideas. She served in public relations and marketing, working to help bridge the gap between academic ideas and real-world problems.

Together, Miriam and Krista will continue to strengthen the NetChoice Public Affairs team and vigorously defend free enterprise and free expression online.
