Background

Krista Chavez is NetChoice’s Director of Communications. In her role, she manages external communications and key priorities at the organization.

Krista joined NetChoice in 2022 from the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, the premier university-based research center focused on free market ideas. There, she spent over four years in various capacities working with Mercatus research programs as a communications representative to help bridge the gap between academic ideas and real-world problems. 

She is a graduate of American University in Washington, D.C., where she earned a BA in Communications, Law, Economics, and Government with a Justice Minor.
