Background

As Deputy Director of State and Federal Affairs, Zach works with our members and other stakeholders to better understand the policy implications of legislation concerning antitrust, content moderation, and privacy.

Zach joined NetChoice after working for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). At NTIA he led the agency’s digital media efforts through the Office of Public Affairs and worked on Internet policy related to the International Telecommunications Union through the Office of International Affairs. Zach was also a legislative assistant for his hometown member of Congress, Dave Reichert, where he covered technology, telecommunications, labor, education, energy, and natural resources issues.

Zach holds a MA in Political Theory from the University of Chicago and a BA in Political Science and Classical Civilization from Gonzaga University.

Zach is an avid reader and gamer, is a black belt in Taekwondo, loves the theatre, and is a proud son of the Evergreen State.
