NetChoice Comment to the Federal Communications Commission on its Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on “Modernizing Spectrum Sharing for Satellite Broadband”

NetChoice strongly supports the FCC’s NPRM to modernize spectrum sharing for satellite broadband, as the current, decades-old regulations on non-geostationary (NGSO) satellite systems are based on outdated science and restrict American companies from providing consumers with improved services.

Updating these equivalent power flux-density (epfd) limits would allow NGSOs to expand high-speed internet access across the country. This modernization is crucial for fostering competition, improving service, reducing costs and maintaining American leadership in technology and space.
